Urmic.org welcomes hardware vendors, distributors, system integrators, and IT service providers worldwide to become Urmic.org Hardware Partners.
Hardware Partners can sell compatible hardware with Urmic.org-provided open-source software pre-installed.
Benefits for Hardware Partners
As an Urmic.org Hardware Partner, you can:
- Earn profit from hardware sales by selling your own hardware directly to customers.
- Charge installation and configuration fees for installing and configuring Urmic.org software.
- Sell hardware locally or internationally, subject to applicable laws.
- Provide customers with ready-to-use hardware and software solutions.
- Build and manage your own customer relationships.
- Pay no mandatory partner fee to Urmic.org merely for becoming a Hardware Partner.
Partner Requirements
A Hardware Partner must:
- Have the technical skills required to install and configure software provided by Urmic.org.
- Pre-install and configure required Urmic.org software on compatible hardware when specified.
- Comply with the applicable software and open-source licenses.
- Clearly identify hardware costs and installation, configuration, or service charges.
- Bill and collect payment from customers directly.
- Maintain all business registrations, licenses, permits, and approvals required in its jurisdiction.
- Manage and pay its own applicable taxes, duties, fees, and statutory obligations.
- Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
Approval
Any eligible hardware vendor may apply.
Approval is subject to Urmic.org’s internal policies and review. Approval is not guaranteed. Urmic.org may approve or reject an application at its discretion and is not required to provide an explanation for rejection, except where disclosure is required by applicable law.
Applying does not create a partnership or authorize the applicant to represent Urmic.org.

Software and Licensing
Software provided by Urmic.org may include open-source software distributed under applicable open-source licenses.
The Hardware Partner must comply with all applicable license terms and must not represent Urmic.org-provided open-source software as its own proprietary software.
Commercial Responsibility
The Hardware Partner operates as an independent business and is responsible for:
- Hardware purchasing and sales;
- Installation and configuration services;
- Customer billing and collection;
- Hardware warranty and after-sales service;
- Taxes and government charges;
- Import/export requirements, where applicable; and
- Compliance with applicable laws.
Urmic.org does not guarantee customers, sales, revenue, or minimum business volume.
No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Urmic.org, its owners, contributors, maintainers, representatives, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, cost, expense, or liability arising from or relating to the Hardware Partner’s business activities, hardware sales, installation services, customer relationships, software installation or configuration, taxes, regulatory compliance, warranties, shipping, import/export activities, or representations made by the Hardware Partner.
The Hardware Partner is solely responsible for its products, services, customers, employees, contractors, transactions, and legal obligations.
The Hardware Partner shall not make any representation, warranty, commitment, or guarantee on behalf of Urmic.org unless expressly authorized in writing.
Nothing in this clause excludes or limits liability to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Important Notice
The Urmic.org Hardware Partner Program supports the worldwide distribution of compatible hardware solutions.
Partner status does not create an employment, agency, franchise, joint venture, or legal partnership relationship with Urmic.org unless expressly established through a separate written agreement.
By applying, the applicant confirms that it understands and accepts these general requirements and will independently comply with the laws and regulations applicable to its business.
Urmic.org reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Hardware Partner Program and its requirements, subject to applicable law and any binding written agreement.
