For Android Applications Developed by Urmic.org for Broadcasters and Publishers

Effective Date: May 27, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Android mobile applications (“Apps”) developed, managed, published, or maintained by Urmic.org for broadcasters, publishers, news channels, TV channels, OTT platforms, radio services, and digital media organizations (“Broadcasters”).

By downloading, installing, or using any App, the user (“User” or “Viewer”) agrees to these Terms.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the App, You acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms.
  • You agree to comply with applicable laws.
  • You use the App voluntarily and at Your own risk.

If You do not agree, You must discontinue use of the App immediately.


2. Nature of Service

Apps may provide:

  • News content
  • Live television
  • OTT streaming
  • Radio services
  • Video-on-demand
  • Informational media
  • Entertainment content

Content is primarily provided by the respective broadcaster or publisher.

Urmic.org primarily acts as a technology and application development provider.


3. Content Classification & Viewer Discretion

Broadcasters may classify content under categories such as:

  • U
  • U/A 7+
  • U/A 13+
  • U/A 16+
  • A

Viewer discretion is advised for mature or sensitive content.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors’ usage of Apps and content.


4. No User Surveillance

Unless specifically disclosed within a particular App:

  • The App does not intentionally surveil users.
  • The App does not intentionally monitor private activities.
  • The App does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data for profiling purposes.

Some technical processing may still occur through Android systems, Google Play Services, hosting providers, or integrated third-party infrastructure.


5. Broadcaster Responsibility

Broadcasters and publishers are solely responsible for:

  • Editorial content
  • Streaming rights
  • Copyright compliance
  • Legal compliance
  • Advertisements
  • Regulatory obligations
  • Programme Code compliance
  • News and current affairs compliance

Urmic.org does not independently verify or endorse broadcaster content.


6. Third-Party Services

Apps may rely on:

  • Google Play Services
  • YouTube
  • CDN providers
  • Embedded social media
  • External websites
  • Advertising providers
  • Analytics infrastructure

Third-party services operate under their own independent terms and policies.


7. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Misuse the App
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Distribute malware
  • Violate applicable laws
  • Abuse broadcaster systems
  • Interfere with streaming infrastructure
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes

Access may be restricted for violations.


8. Intellectual Property

All logos, trademarks, videos, broadcasts, graphics, and media content remain the property of their respective owners.

Users may not unlawfully:

  • Redistribute content
  • Reverse engineer the App
  • Copy protected broadcasts
  • Commercially exploit media content

9. Service Availability

Apps may experience:

  • Downtime
  • Streaming interruptions
  • Regional restrictions
  • Technical failures
  • Maintenance outages

No guarantee is provided regarding uninterrupted service availability.


10. Grievance Redressal

Users may submit complaints or grievances through:

Complaints may be forwarded to the respective broadcaster, publisher, hosting provider, or legal authority where appropriate.


11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Apps are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Urmic.org disclaims all warranties including:

  • Accuracy
  • Reliability
  • Availability
  • Security
  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for purpose
  • Compatibility
  • Non-infringement

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law:

Urmic.org, broadcasters, developers, partners, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Broadcast interruptions
  • Content disputes
  • Regulatory actions
  • Financial losses
  • User reliance on content
  • Data loss
  • Device malfunction
  • Cyber incidents
  • Unauthorized access
  • Indirect damages
  • Consequential damages

Users use the App entirely at their own risk.


13. Regulatory Compliance

Broadcasters and publishers are responsible for compliance with:

  • IT Rules, 2021
  • MIB advisories
  • Programme Code
  • Advertising regulations
  • Copyright laws
  • Applicable Indian laws

Urmic.org may cooperate with lawful government or court requests where legally required.


14. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically without prior notice.

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.


15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed in accordance with applicable laws of India.

Jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with applicable legal procedures and competent courts.
